Families & friends, thank you for visiting this tiny space on the web dedicated to our first baby-to-be. “Bundle of Joy” will chronicle the growth and adventures of Peanut (as we’ve nicknamed him before we found out his gender) and we’re excited to share this wonderful experience with you!
“Bundle of Joy” came to be as more and more friends, colleagues, and relatives expressed interest in Peanut’s growth. So instead of spamming everyone in our address books with sporadic updates and photos, we’ve decided to create this website that will hold a collection of Peanut’s photos, milestones, and any updates relating to his growth.
A few of you lovely people also expressed interest in purchasing small items for Peanut so we’ve opened a baby registry for that purpose. You will find the links to the products we’ve found interesting and/or useful (after much research) under the “Baby Registy” link. We know times are tough for everyone given the recession so we feel blessed to know our friends and families still want to generously lend a helping hand. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
As first-time parents-to-be, we are charged with excitement (and fear, haha) to welcome our “bundle of joy” into our lives. We are also thrilled to be able to share this adventure with our family and friends all across the globe! (Isn’t the internet awesome???) (A special hello to our relatives in the Philippines & Thailand!)
Thank you again for caring enough to be a part of this journey. We hope you enjoy the ride!
ahhh, i can’t stand it! DB looked SO cute and bitable in his snow suit!
we went shopping last night after DB’s flu shot booster and found a cute snow suit at Old Navy. we’ve been wanting one for him because we want to take him out during snowfalls and his bear outfit isn’t wind or water proof. so the suit we found was perfect! we had to pay full price for it, though.
see how happy he is in that picture? he loved being plopped down into that bed of snow. ^_^ i have a feeling he will grow up loving the snow like O. then the two can go crazy together in the mountains, snowboarding and skiing.
today Benny gave us a treat, a couple of treats, actually!
first treat
i had placed Benny on his play mat while i tried to organize my bazillion shoes in the closet. he was on his back and happily playing with the dangling toys. the next thing i knew, when i took a quick sneak peak at him to make sure he’s ok, he was on his tummy cooing and fooing. he had rolled from his back to his tummy!
i quickly called O and told him that Benny rolled onto his tummy for the first time. we took a couple of pictures as he was on his tummy, excited as only parents can be for their first time tummy roller.
a couple minutes later he rolled from his tummy to his back! we were very impressed because he’s still a little young to be doing that. but now we really can’t leave him alone unless he’s strapped down or in his crib or playmat.
second treat
we knew that Benny likes to dance because he always flashes his huge, gummy smile whenever O moves his hands or wiggles his body to silly songs. but it was still a surprise, a pleasant one, when he let out a loud laugh from his belly! and he kept laughing as O kept him wiggling.
thank goodness we were able to capture part of his laughter on video. it’s another video of his i can watch over and over again.
After a week spent at the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit), we were finally able to bring our baby boy home!
Yes, V popped! On April 5th, 2010. To a beautiful, bouncing, baby boy!
More details and photos to be shared later. For now, we have this photo of Mooncake (we’ve decided to call him that as his nick name now instead of “Peanut” – don’t you think it’s more fitting? ) to tide you over.
This tiny space on the web is dedicated to our soon-to-be bouncing baby boy. As first-time parents-to-be, we are thrilled to be able to share this exciting adventure with our dear family and friends across the globe. ^_^
